Über dem Teppich

There is a Christian parable about a knit carpet. I guess it's Christian but it could be Jewish or anything. Anyway: You've got this carpet and from underneath it all looks messy and strange - weird colours that don't seem to go into a good pattern. That's how life sometimes feels.
But God looks at it from above the carpet and it's the most beautiful design.
I like this parable and I think it describes how I often feel about things in comparison to what they really are. It's those strange things like "love hurts" and "wisdom when you know nothing". You know what I mean?
